Bird of Prey Day

As well as being a fun and entertaining day, this one day course is designed to give those interested in falconry the opportunity to decide if it is a sport that they wish to pursue further. During the morning you will receive tuition on handling the birds and in the afternoon you will fly hawks in the surrounding countryside.

Time and weather permitting, you will also he able to see a Falcon, Vulture and Eagle being flown. (Not on weekdays from November to February).

Refreshments and lunch included.

Minimum Age 14 Years

Itinerary

  • 10.00 Arrival, coffee and introduction to the instructor
  • 10.30 An introduction to Falconry
  • 12.30 Lunch (provided)
  • 13.30 Move to the surrounding countryside to fly the birds
  • 16.30 Return, questions, tea and depart

All equipment will be provided for the day, but please wear or bring suitable clothing according to the time of year.
