5 Day Falconry Course

The course is designed for the would be falconer. It is a very demanding five days in which every aspect of the noble art of falconry is covered. Whether falconry is a sport you wish to pursue further, or just want to discover what goes on behind the scenes in the world of falconry, then this course is a must for you.

The course is structured in easy to follow stages which will ensure that by the end of the five days, any student will be confident in the basics of handling of birds of prey. This course is compiled from a combined knowledge of 60 years of falconry.

Refreshments and lunch are included.

Daily Itinerary

  • 10.00 Arrival, coffee and introduction to the instructor / information on day ahead
  • 10.30 Tuition room with falconer
  • 12.30 Lunch (provided)
  • 13.30 Move to the surrounding countryside to fly the birds / stay at centre learning various hands on techniques
  • 16.30 Return, questions, tea and depart

All equipment will be provided for the week, but please wear or bring suitable clothing according to the time of year.
