Bird of Prey Experience Day
As well as being a fun and entertaining day, this one day course is
designed to give those interested in falconry the opportunity to decide
if it is a sport that they wish to pursue further. During the day you
will be made aware of the practical implications of owning a bird of
prey and given the opportunity to handle and fly Birds of Prey.
Time and weather permitting you will also be able to see a Falcon, Vulture
and Eagle being flown. All equipment will be provided for the day, but
it is advisable to bring wellington boots, plus suitable outdoor clothing
for the time of year.

Itinerary
10.00 Arrival, coffee and introduction to the instructor
10.30 An introduction to Falconry
12.30 Lunch (provided)
13.30 Move to the surrounding countryside to fly the birds
16.30 Return, questions, tea and depart
All equipment will be provided for the day, but please wear or bring
suitable clothing according to the time of year.

V.I.P Eagle Day
This is an extremely exciting day and one which will leave spectacular
memories with the participant. You will receive instruction regarding
the handling of the birds and will immediately be taken out in the morning
to fly one of our larger eagles, normally a bald eagle - weighing approximately
4 kilos with a 5 and 1/2 foot wingspan!
Weather depending, the bird will soar off into the skies, sometimes
reaching heights of 5,000 feet or more. You will then have the opportunity
to recall the bird to the glove and witness the speed and control these
birds are capable of as they drop from the skies. At the end of the
morning you will return to the centre for lunch and have the opportunity
yo watch the 12.00 O'clock demonstration. In the afternoon you will
move out across the valley to get hands on with more eagles, including
a bateleur eagle and tawny eagle, you may also get the opportunity to
fly a harris hawk if you wish. This is an exclusive experience and is
limited to two people per day.

Hawking Afternoon
Here you can get the opportunity to fly Harris Hawks in the local Kent
countryside, learning about their habits in the wild and their requirements
in captivity. It is designed to be entertaining and will not give information
regarding the keeping of these birds in captivity. This is a fun taster
session and one which can be enjoyed by all. There will be plenty of
chances for "hands-on" and if you arrive early enough you
will be able to watch the 12.00 O'clock demonstration.

Five Day Falconry Course
Courses run from Monday to Friday 10.00 am to 4.30 pm.
The course is designed for the would be falconer. It is a very demanding
five days in which every aspect of the noble art of falconry is covered.
Whether you wish to own your own bird of prey or just want to discover
what goes on behind the scenes in the world of falconry then this course
is a must.
The course is structured in easy to follow stages which will ensure
that by the end of the five days any student will be competent and confident
in his/her husbandry and handling of birds of prey to progress to actually
owning their own raptor. You will also receive a course information
pack at the end of your week.
