The Africa Show » What's it all about?! The Africa Show is designed to give visitors a real sense of an African hunting scene! The show begins with Annie the African Fish Eagle who demonstrates her natural behaviour and shows the crowd why this eagle is called 'The Voice of Africa' with her fantastic vocal skills! Next up is the Cheetah! This kind of demonstration cannot be seen anywhere else in the UK that we know of! The Cheetah is brought outside of his enclosure, taken to the top of the arena and attached to a zip-wire. Once the keepers are ready the Cheetah will then spot, chase and 'kill' his dinner! Finishing his sprint just a few feet in front of the crowd! This is not only fantastic stimulation for the Cheetah himself, but is also an unforgettable experience for children and adults alike! Next the scavengers are released! Completing the cycle of African life! Once the Cheetah has filled his tummy the scavengers come to dine! This consists of Vultures circling, Marabou Storks stealing scraps and Eagles dive-bombing the carcass! This show has been named one of the best wildlife shows in the UK The aim of this demonstration is to educate the general public about the ongoing conservation issues in Africa. We raise money annually for The Cheetah Conservation Fund in Namibia and other African Charities. We need to raise as much awareness as possible and we feel the best way to achieve this is by inspiring our visitors!
